UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey had little trouble defending her belt once again Saturday night, finishing Sara McMann in the first round at UFC 170.
After delivering several liver shots, Rousey was declared the victor for the first time via something other than the armbar.
Now, as she balances her evolving movie career with fighting, the former Olympic bronze medalist has a target date in mind for her next fight.
“I’ll fight on 24 hours notice if (Dana White) needs me to,” she said, on the FOX Sports 1 post-fight show. “Late summer (for a likely return). You never know. I’m always ready.”
She is slated to film scenes as the lead female in the “Entourage” movie, along with “The Expendables 3” coming out this year.
As for who she might get next, while most of the world wants to see Rousey vs. Cris Cyborg, “Rowdy” has someone else in mind.
“Cat Zingano is still deserving,” said Rousey, of the long-time No. 1 contender. “Whenever she feels better.”
Rousey also mentioned Alexis Davis, who scored a decision victory over Jessica Eye in the same card Saturday night.
