According to a report by MMA Boxing out of Russia, Ruslan Magomedov has signed a deal with the UFC.
The Russian heavyweight sports an 11-1 career record, including wins over Tim Sylvia and Ricco Rodriguez. Magomedov was inked to a deal with Bellator MMA, but visa issues kept him from ever competing for the promotion.
Magomedov trains with Greg Jackson in New Mexico and the Red Fury Fight Team out of Russia. He has finished six of his opponents, including four via knockout. His lone loss came in 2011 to Konstantin Gluhov.
After signing with Bellator, Magomedov was scheduled to face Brett Rogers in the Bellator heavyweight tournament. His problems with visa kept him from competing, and he was eventually replaced by current Bellator champion Alexander Volkov.
