#1 contender for the Light Heavyweight title Alexander Gusafsson appeared on the MMA Hour to talk about his fight with Jon Jones for the second time. Here is what he had to say:
“I think he did enough to win the fight,” Gustafsson told Ariel Helwani. “He looked good, he looked great. He was dominating Glover from the beginning, no doubt about it. But I don’t know, it looked like he didn’t perform like he usually (does). He did enough to win the fight, basically.”
“I don’t really wanna talk about that kid at all,” Jones said. “No, man. I’m having a good time. I just won a fight.”
“I don’t think he likes me. That’s all I can say,” Gustafsson said on the MMA Hour. “It is what it is and one day we will fight. Hopefully that day is soon. … I think I am in his head now.”
Now with the fight set to happen, everyone wants to know the big question, when? Dana White said this in the post fight scum on Saturday night:
“We have to make sure (Jon) is 100 percent healthy and he’s good, and then we’ll time this thing out and plan it,” White said. “It’s a big fight. It’s a big, massive fight. If we do it in Europe this thing can do 50 or 60,000 seats or more. We have to take the fight wherever the fight will do the best.”
With Jones just coming off a fight, expect the rematch between these two to happen later this year. Will keep you updated on this, so stay tuned.
