Matt Brown Dominates Erick Silva In The Main Event Of UFC Fight Night 40

Matt Brown showed why he is a top contender at 170, he went in and dominated this entire fight. He was hurt early with a devastating body kick by Erick Silva in the first round, but came back to make Silva pay for that kick. He landed, punches, knees, kicks and takedowns, to make sure that was a memberable fight to say the least, the end came when Brown reigned down punches from the top position. Brown with more elbows and it cuts open Silva. Brown stands over him and throwing more leather, crazy pace, Herb Dean stops the fight, this one is over.

He beat Charlie Brenneman via Rear Naked Choke in the first round in June of 2012. He lost to Jon Fitch via unanimous decision in October of that year. He beat Jason High via Triangle Armbar in June of 203, and then lost to Dong Hyun Kim when he was knocked out in the second round. Finally, he lost this past Feb and beat Takenori Sato via knockout out in the first round.
