Mass MMA was the first to report the fight, Sylvia will face Christian Morecraft on September 6.
Sylvia wants to get back into the UFC desperately and with the UFC recently signing Andrei Arlovski which he will meet Brendan Schaub later this year. Sylvia sees no problem with him returning either.
However, Sylvia is not the same fighter that he once was. He last fought in the UFC against Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, which he lost via Guillotine Choke in the 3rd Rd at UFC 81 – Breaking Point in Feb / 02 / 2008.
In the bigger picture, he has gone 5-4-1 in his last ten fights. As of recent he has dropped his last three fights. He lost to Satoshi Ishii via Unanimous Decision at IGF – Inoki Bom-Ba-Ye 2012 in Dec / 31 / 2012, then lost to Tony Johnson via Referee Stoppage at One FC 9 – Rise to Power in May / 31 / 2013. In his last fight he lost to Ruslan Magomedov via Unanimous Decision at Fight Nights – Battle of Moscow 13 in Oct / 26 / 2013.
