Zak Cummings Replaces Ryan LaFlare & Will Fight Gunnar Nelson At UFC Fight Night 46

It was originally planned for Ryan LaFlare (11-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) to meet fellow welterweight Gunnar Nelson (12-0-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 46 in July. However, LaFlare had to pull out and now stepping in his place is Zak Cummings (17-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC)

This fight is scheduled to be in the co-main event slot.

Zak Cummings has four knockouts, nine submissions and four decision victories in his MMA career. Prior to joining the UFC, he has 3-1 in his last four fights. He made his UFC debut against Ben Alloway which he won via Barbo choke at UFC Fight Night – Condit vs. Kampmann 2 on Aug / 28 / 2013. In his last fight, he beat Yan Cabral via Unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night – Brown vs. Silva on May / 10 / 2014.

Gunnar Nelson has three knockouts and eight submission victories in his MMA career. He was on a nine fight winning streak prior to joining the UFC.

He beat DaMarques Johnson via Rear-Naked Choke at UFC on Fuel TV 5 – Struve vs. Miocic on Sep / 29 / 2012. He then won his next two fights with wins over Jorge Santiago via Unanimous decision at UFC on Fuel TV 7 – Barao vs. McDonald on Feb / 16 / 2013 and then Omari Akhmedov via Guillotine Choke at UFC Fight Night – Gustafsson vs. Manuwa on Mar / 08 / 2014.

UFC Fight Night 46 takes place July 19 at The O2 in Dublin. This entire card airs on UFC Fight Pass.
