Gegard Mousasi Makes Mark Munoz Tap At UFC Fight Night 41

Mark Munoz had a gameplain in his head and it went for it, it just did not work. Munoz tried and tried to takedown Mousasi, but Mousasi is the one who stayed patent, kept landing shots and picking his spots. Mousasi gets a rear naked choke which makes Munoz tap for the win.

Gegard Mousasi (34-4) has 18 knockouts, 11 submissions and 5 decision victories, while he has never been knocked out, but submitted twice and lost by decision twice. He won his first two MMA fights, both by knockout. While in Pride he had a record of 2-1. He had six Strikeforce fights which he won two of those by knockout. He did lost to Muhammed Lawal AKA King Mo by unanimous decision in Apr / 17 / 2010. Prior to making his UFC debut he was on a three fight winning streak with wins over Hiroshi Izumi via TKO in 2011. He beat Ovince St. Preux via unanimous decision at Strikeforce – Melendez vs. Masvidal on Dec / 17 / 2011 and then Mike Kyle via rear naked choke at Strikeforce – Marquardt vs. Saffiedine on Jan / 12 / 2013.
