Middleweights Derek Brunson (11-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) and Lorenz Larkin (14-3 MMA, 1-3 UFC) are going to to Los Angeles for UFC 176.
Derek Brunson is 2-2 in his last four fights. He lost to Ronaldo Souza via knockout at Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman on August 18, 2012. He beat Chris Leben via unanimous decision at UFC 155 and then Brian Houston via rear naked choke in November. In his last fight, he lost to Yoel Romero via TKO in January.
Lorenz Larkin is coming into this fight with a 14-2 record. He has 8 wins coming by KO, 6 by decision. He has never been knocked out or submitted. In his five fights he is 2-2-1. He lost to to King Mo via no contest in Jan of 2012 in Strikeforce. He beat Robbie Lawler in July of the same year via via unanimous decision. He made his UFC debut against Francis Carmont where he lost via unanimous decision in April of 2013 and then beat Chris Camozzi via unanimous decision back in November. He fought Brad Tavares this past January where he lost that fight via unanimous decision. In his last fight, he lost to Costa Philippou at UFC Fight Night 40 on May 11th where he was knocked out.
UFC 176 takes place Aug. 2 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. The prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass while the main card is on pay-per-view.
