Jordan Mein Will Meet Thiago Alves at UFC Fight Night 49

The UFC announced Wednesday night that the first fight to be added to the UFC Fight Night 49 card will be Thiago Alves (20-9 MMA, 12-6 UFC) will return to the octagon against Canadian Jordan Mein (28-9 MMA, 2-1 UFC) from Tulsa’s BOK Center.

Right now there has not been anymore fights added to this card and it’s unclear whether or not this will be the main event. It’s not likely, but you never know.

Jordan Mein has 15 knockouts, 7 submissions and 6 wins by decision. He is 3-1 in his last four fights. He is coming off a win over Hernani Perpetuo via split decision at UFC on Fox 11 – Werdum vs. Browne on Apr / 19 / 2014.

Thiago Alves has 11 knockouts, 2 submissions and 7 wins by decision. He is 2-2 in his last four fights, he beat Seth Baczynski by decision at UFC on Fox 11 – Werdum vs. Browne

This event will be the first show at the BOK Center and will be aired on Fox Sports 1.
