Matt Hamill Out Of WSOF Debut With Knee Injury

Longtime UFC Fighter Matt Hamill (11-5) was supposed to make his World Series of Fighting debut on July 5th, but had to pull out due to a knee injury.

Matt Hamill has six knockout victories, but no submission victories.

He made his UFC debut in just his second fight and beat Jesse Forbes via TKO at The Ultimate Fighter 3 Finale on Jun / 24 / 2006. He was on a five fight winning streak in his prime of his career. He beat Reese Andy, Mark Munoz via knockout at UFC 96 – Jackson vs. Jardine on Mar / 07 / 2009, then Jon Jones via DQ at The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale on Dec / 05 / 2009, Keith Jardine via majority decision at The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale on Jun / 19 / 2010 and then Tito Ortiz via unanimous decision at UFC 121 – Lesnar vs. Velasquez on Oct / 23 / 2010.

In his last four fights he is 1-3.

He lost to Rampage Jackson via unanimous decision at UFC 130 – Rampage vs. Hamill on May / 28 / 2011 and then Alexander Gustafsson via TKO at UFC 133 – Evans vs. Ortiz 2 on Aug / 06 / 2011. He beat Roger Hollett via unanimous decision at UFC 152 – Jones vs. Belfort on Sep / 22 / 2012, but in his last fight he lost to Thiago Silva via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night – Maia vs. Shield on Oct / 09 / 2013
