Cezar Ferreira edged his way past Andrew Craig on Saturday at UFC Fight Night 44 and now wants a his rematch with C.B. Dollaway.
“They asked me before who I would really like to fight if I win this one,” Ferreira said. “I said I’d like to have a rematch with C.B. Dollaway. Not that I’m a bad loser or anything – he won it – but I wasn’t really on my game that day, so I’d like to have another chance.”
C.B. Dollaway (14-5) has six knockouts, three submissions and 5 decision victories while he has been knocked out twice, submitted twice and lost by decision once. He has been with the UFC since being on the Ultimate Fighter season seven.
He had his first actual UFC fight against Amir Sadollah at The Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale on Jun / 21 / 2008, but lost via armbar. Prior to joining the UFC he was on a six fight winning streak. In his last five fights he is 3-2.
He lost to Jared Hamman via knockout at UFC Live 5 – Hardy vs. Lytle on Aug / 14 / 2011.
He went on a two fight winning streak with wins over Jason Miller via unanimous decision at UFC 146 – Dos Santos vs. Mir on may / 26 / 2012 and Daniel Sarafian via split decision at UFC on FX 7 – Belfort vs. Bisping on Jan / 19 / 2013.
He lost to Tim Boetsch via split decision at UFC 166 – Velasquez vs. dos Santos 3 on Oct / 19 / 2013, but won his last fight over Cezar Ferreira via knockout at UFC Fight Night – Shogun vs. Henderson 2 Mar / 23 / 2014
“I tried to control the fight, and at the very end, Andrew did a turnaround,” Ferreira said. “So I just tried to maintain my distance and hang in there.”
Dollaway is coming off a win over Francis Carmont At UFC Fight Night Berlin. Time will tell if this fight happens next.
