UFC Fight Night 52 Rumored To Add Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Kyle Noke

Yoshihiro Akiyama

Yoshihiro Akiyama (13-5 MMA, 1-4 UFC) and Kyle Noke (20-7-1 MMA, 3-3 UFC) is reportedly in the works for UFC Fight Night 52. The UFC has not confirmed this fight, but is expected to be added shortly.

Yoshihiro Akiyama (13-3) Has five knockouts, seven submissions and one win by decision. Prior to joining the UFC he was on a two fight winning streak.

He made his UFC debut against Alan Belcher, which he won via split decision at UFC 100 – Lesnar vs. Mir 2
Jul / 11 / 2009.

However, he lost his next four fights. Chris Leben via submission at UFC 116 – Lesnar vs. Carwin on Jul / 03 / 2010, Michael Bisping via unanimous decision at UFC 120 – Bisping vs. Akiyama on Oct / 16 / 2010, Vitor Belfort via knockout at UFC 133 – Evans vs. Ortiz 2 on Aug / 06 / 2011 and finally lost to Jake Shields via unanimous decision at UFC 144 – Edgar vs. Henderson on Feb / 26 / 2012.

Kyle Noke (20-7) Has seven knockouts, eight submissions and five wins by decision.

He made his UFC debut Josh Bryant, which he won via TKO at The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale on Jun / 19 / 2010. He would go onto win his next two fights over Rob Kimmons and Chris Camozzi.

In his next four fights, he is 1-3.

He lost to Ed Herman via submission at UFC Live 5 – Hardy vs. Lytle on Aug / 14 / 2011 and then Andrew Craig via unanimous decision at UFC on FX 2 – Alves vs. Kampmann on Mar / 03 / 2012. He beat Charlie Brenneman via unanimous decision at UFC 152 – Jones vs. Belfort on Sep / 22 / 2012, but then lost to Patrick Cote via unanimous decision at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale on Apr / 16 / 2014.

Fight Night 52 goes down on September 20th in Saitama, Japan with Mark Hunt and Roy Nelson facing each other in the main event.
