Ramsey Nijem – Carlos Diego Ferreira To Meet At UFC 177

When the UFC makes their return to Sacramento, they will be bringing along Ramsey Nijem (9-4 MMA, 5-3 UFC) vs. Carlos Diego Ferreira (10-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) at UFC 177. UFC officials announced.

Ramsey Nijem (9-4) Has three knockouts, two submissions and four wins by decision. He made his UFC debut through the Ultimate Fighter. Prior to his UFC debut, he was on a three fight winning streak. He made that debut against Tony Ferguson, but lost via 1st RD KO at The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale on Jun / 04 / 2011. Looking at his last five fights, prior to UFC 177, he has a record of 3-2.

Nijem beat Joe Proctor via unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 5 – Henderson vs. Diaz on Dec / 08 / 2012, but lost to Myles Jury via knockout at UFC on Fox 7 – Henderson vs. Melendez on Apr / 20 / 2013 and then James Vick via submission at UFC Fight Night – Shogun vs. Sonnen on Aug / 17 / 2013.

Nijem then went on a two fight winning streak, with wins over Justin Edwards via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night – Rockhold vs. Philippou on Jan / 15 / 2014. Finally, over Beneil Dariush via knockout at UFC Fight Night – Minotauro vs. Nelson on Apr / 11 / 2014.

Carlos Diego Ferreira (10-0) Has six submissions and four decision victories. Prior to making his UFC debut, he was on a nine fight winning streak. He made is debut against Colton Smith, which he won via submission at UFC Fight Night – Swanson vs. Stephens on Jun / 28 / 2014.

UFC 177 takes place Aug. 30 at Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, Calif. Its headliner is a rematch from UFC 173 in May between new bantamweight champ T.J. Dillashaw against ex-champ Renan Barao. The event will air on Fight Pass, Fox Sports 1 and PPV.
