Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Manager Confirms Injury – Out Until January

It’s official, UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov suffered a torn meniscus in his right knee, an injury that will force Nurmagomedov to undergo surgery and remain out of action until January. He was set to face Donald Cerrone at UFC 178, but twenty minutes after the deal was done, the fight was called off.

The news was confirmed by his manger, Mike Constantino. As of right now, there is no new official opponent lined up for Cerrone.

We have three more fights before the main card kicks off a 8 p.m. ET with Bobby Green vs. Josh Thomson.
