TJ Dillashaw Believes He Can Beat Renan Barao 10 Out Of 10 Times

TJ Dillashaw shocked the world at UFC 173 when he knocked off and out Renan Barao to become Bantamweight champion. Now, he is set for their rematch and believes he can beat Barao ten out of ten times.

“I’ve watched the fight a couple times and every time I get nervous before I watch it, even though I know how it’s going to go down. And it’s just amazing; I couldn’t of wrote a better story myself. It was perfect.”

“You know, I knew I had the gameplan and the athleticism to beat Barao the way I did. Obviously I expected a really tough fight, a war. Everything went super smooth for me, so yeah, I guess I expected a little tougher fight. Oh, I mean, no matter what I’m going to have to do something different. I want to become a better fighter every fight. That’s not my best performance, I’m going to get even better from that fight. And, yeah, I’m gonna win 10 out of 10 times. That’s just the fact that I’m going to continue to get better. I’m going to be better than I even was when he faces me again.”

He then beat Issei Tamura via KO at UFC 158 – St. Pierre vs. Diaz on Mar / 16 / 2013 and then Hugo Viana via TKO at UFC on Fox 7 – Henderson vs. Melendez on Apr / 20 / 2013. He lost to Raphael Assuncao via split decision at UFC Fight Night – Maia vs. Shields on Oct / 09 / 2013 to snap his four fight winning streak. In his last fight he beat Mike Easton via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night – Rockhold vs. Philippou on Jan / 15 / 2014. He is coming off a win over Barao at UFC 173.

Barao is arguably the greatest fighter in MMA right now as he has won 32 straight fights. He beat Brad Pickett via rear naked choke at UFC 138 – Leben vs. Munoz on Nov / 05 / 2011, Scott Jorgensen via unanimous decision at UFC 143 – Diaz vs. Condit on Feb / 04 / 2012. Then finished off 2012 with a win over Urijah Faber via unanimous decision at UFC 149 – Faber vs. Barao on Jul / 21 / 2012.
