Patrick Cote (20-8) who is set to face Stephen Thompson at UFC 178, but he noted that his knee’s are the not the same anymore.
“I have a 70-year-old’s knees right now. It’s a tough sport, man.” Cote said in a recent interview with MMA Junkie.
In his last four fights prior to UFC 178, he is 3-1.
Cote lost to Cung Le via unanimous decision at UFC 148 – Silva vs. Sonnen 2 on Jul / 07 / 2012, but then went on a three fight winning streak with wins over Alessio Sakara via DQ at UFC 154 – St. Pierre vs. Condit on Nov / 17 / 2012, then he beat Bobby Voelker via unanimous decision at UFC 158 – St. Pierre vs. Diaz on Mar / 16 / 2013 and then finally over Kyle Noke via unanimous decision at The Ultimate Fighter Nations Finale on Apr / 16 / 2014.
UFC 178 takes place Sept. 27 in Las Vegas, Nevada live on pay-per-view. The main event will be a rematch from a classic fight between Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier.
