Patrick Cummins

Since his first fight in the UFC, which resulted in a loss to the number one contender for the UFC Light Heavyweight title in Daniel Cormier, Patrick Cummins has believed that Cormier has a shot against Jon Jones, but would love to revenge that loss and win the Light Heavyweight title down the road.

“I wanna be the champ,” Cummins told Submission Radio. “And more than anything I want revenge against Daniel Cormier. And I think he has a great shot of taking the belt, and I’d love to kill two birds with one stone eventually and take the belt from him, and you know kind of avenge that loss.”

Patrick Cummins (6-1) has two knockouts and two submission victories in his MMA career.

Prior to joining the UFC, he was on a three fight winning streak all coming in the first round. He is known for his fight with Daniel Cormier, which he lost via TKO in the first round back at UFC 170 – Rousey vs. McMann on Feb / 22 / 2014. He is coming off a win over Roger Narvaez at UFC Fight Night – Henderson vs. Khabilov on Jun / 07 / 2014 prior to UFC on Fox 12. He then beat Kyle Kingsbury at UFC On Fox 12.

Cummins next fight is not known at this time.

Jon Jones vs. Daniel Cormier. UFC 178 will happen on September 27 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
