Ian McCall – John Lineker Fight To Go Down Late 2014

John Lineker wants to fight Ian McCall and Ian McCall wants to fight John Lineker, let them fight, right? Well, according to UFC Tonight, that fight will have to wait due to McCall suffering a hand injury.

“Coming off the win in Dublin, Ian McCall needs hand surgery. But they’re leaning to Ian McCall against John Lineker, who wants the fight. This could be a number-one contender fight to see who faces Demetrious Johnson next, and could take place by the end of the year.”

John Lineker has 12 knockouts, 3 submissions and 8 decision win in his MMA career. He has never been knocked out, but submitted 3 times. He has been in the UFC since 2012, but lost in his debut against Louis Gaudinot via Guillotine Choke. He went on a four fight winning streak over fighters: Yasuhiro Urushitani, Azamat Gashimov, Jose Maria Tome and Phil Harris. However, he lost in February of this year against Ali Bagautinov via Unanimous Decision.

Ian McCall (13-4-1) Has four knockouts, three submissions and six wins by decision. Prior to joining the UFC in 2012, he was on a four fight winning streak. He made his UFC debut against Demetrious Johnson at UFC on FX 2 – Alves vs. Kampmann on Mar / 03 / 2012, but went to a draw decision. In their rematch he lost against Johnson via Unanimous Decision at UFC on FX 3 – Johnson vs. McCall on Jun / 08 / 2012. He lost to Joseph Benavidez via Unanimous Decision at UFC 156 – Aldo vs. Edgar on Feb / 02 / 2013 and then in his next fight he beat Iliarde Santos via Unanimous Decision at UFC 163 – Aldo vs. Korean Zombie on Aug / 03 / 2013.
