Sorry Canada, You Can’t Watch UFC Fight Night 50

UFC Fight Night 50

While fans in the U.S will be getting UFC Fight Night 50 on Fox Sports 1, the Canada fans will not be getting it on their local cable channels. Joe Ferraro of Rogers Sportsnet tweeted out the following:

“Looks like Friday’s #UFC event is Fight Pass Only. I can only assume that Blue Jays and long tie WWE product will not be bumped. Sorry folks”

The reason for this is because WWE Smackdown and a Toronto Blue Jays game will be airing in it’s normal time slot and there was not time to give to the UFC.

UFC Fight Night 50 goes down this Friday night (9/5) on Fox Sports 1. MMA Frenzy will have the latest news leading up to, during and after the event, as well as having the latest and greatest live play-by-play coverage of the event. From the first fight of the prelim side of the card on Fox Sports 1. The headline fight will be Gegard Mousasi vs. Ronaldo Souza and the co-main event will be Alistair Overeem vs. Ben Rothwell. The event airs from the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Conn. The show starts with Andre Fili vs. Sean Soriano at 7:00 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.
