Following his decision loss to Fabricio Werdum at UFC on FOX 11 in April, Travis Browne has his next opponent, and it’s Brendan “Big Brown” Schaub.
The heavyweight tilt will go down on December 6th at UFC 181, which will also feature Chris Weidman vs. Vitor Belfor and Anthony Pettis vs. Gilbert Melendez.
So yeah, the UFC’s clearly off to a good start as far as booking the main card for the pay-per-view event.
Browne (16-2-1) will be looking to get back in the winning column, after he was decisioned by the aforementioned Werdum.
Prior to the loss “Hapa” had won three straight, and all by knockout, as Browne stopped Alistair Overeem, Gabriel Gonzaga and Josh Barnett. That’s quite the list.
“Hapa” is currently ranked #3 in the UFC’s heavyweight division while Schaub isn’t positioned in the top 15.
Schaub (10-4), meanwhile, will be looking to get back on track after he lost a controversial, split decision to Andrei Arlovski in June.
The heavyweight was coming off victories over Lavar Johnson and Matt Mitrione heading into the bout.
UFC 181 will be hosted by the Mandalay Bay Events Centre in Las Vegas, Nevada.
