UFC 100, the UFC’s blockbuster event which goes down this Saturday in Las Vegas, will air live in the UK as promised, though not on Virgin 1 as had been heavily speculated in recent weeks since the promotion’s original broadcast partner Setanta Sports entered administration late last month.
The UFC today announced that the event will air live and free in the UK on Sky channel 433 and will also be available for free on UK.UFC.com.
UFC 100 will also air live in Northern Ireland and Eire on Setanta Ireland.
Both networks will feature UFC-only programming for 9 hours beginning on Saturday at 3pm local time, airing all five episodes of the UFC’s “Top 100 Fights” series as well as the “Countdown to UFC 100” event preview show, followed by the live fight card, which begins at 3am.
UFC 100 is headlined by a heavyweight championship unification and rematch between title-holders Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar, and also features UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre defending his title against Thiago Alves and the anticipated match between TUF 9 coaches Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson.
