If you’ve been following the rise of Aljamain Sterling, then you’ll be interested to know that the undefeated bantamweight has been booked for his next fight.
The UFC has announced that the 25 year-old Sterling will take on the 34 year-old, Frankie Saenz, November 8th in Sydney, Australia.
Sterling (10-0) joined the promotion earlier this year with a fair amount of hype, and so far, the Serra-Longo fighter has made good on it. Sterling scored a decision over Cody Gibson in February, and in July, he stopped Hugo Viana in the third round.
Saenz (9-2) made his UFC debut in August and worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Nolan Ticman. The bantamweight is currently riding a five fight win streak.
So, that’s a nice addition to UFC FN 55, which will feature a must see scrap between middleweights Luke Rochold and Michael Bisping in the headliner.
That card will also see lightweight Al Iaquinta take on Ross Pearson, which also has “Fight of the Night” potential.
