Steven Siler is apparently the latest fighter to get his walking papers from the Ultimate Fighting Championship, as the featherweight is reporting he’s been cut by the promotion.
The 27 year-old announced the news via Twitter by stating:

Considering Siler was coming off consecutive losses to Dennis Bermudez, Rony Mariano Bezerra and Noad Lahat, many people won’t be surprised to hear the news. Especially since Siler competes at 145, where there is an abundance of talent.
That said, Siler (23-13) did put together a 5-1 run in the UFC, prior to his losing streak. In addition, during that time he scored wins over notable opponents like Mike Brown and Cole Miller.
At any rate, Siler likely won’t have a problem finding fights with other promotions, and it will be interesting to see if the Pit Elevated Fight Team member works his way back to the UFC.
