UFC 179 Weigh-In Results: Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes set for Round Two

UFC 179

If a tiny part of you was worried that Jose Aldo might miss weight for UFC 179 tomorrow night, like his teammate Renan Barao did in August, rest easy, he didn’t.

The UFC held the official weigh-ins in Rio de Janeiro this afternoon, in advance of Saturday’s card, and the featherweight champ Aldo weighed in 145 pounds. Aldo’s opponent, Chad Mendes, also came in at 145.

Not everyone made weight, however, as Scott Jorgensen, Fabricio Camoes and Tony Martin missed their marks. The fighters have one hour to shed the additional weight or they will be fined.

UFC 179 will be available throughout North America on pay-per-view.
