A featherweight bout between Javier Vazquez and LC Davis originally set to take place at the recently-canceled August 1 Affliction: Trilogy event will instead take place at WEC 42 on August 9 in Las Vegas.
Davis confirmed the re-booked fight to MMA Madness on Thursday.
A veteran of the IFL, Davis (13-2), who also previously fought for Affliction and Sengoku, had won four-straight, including victories over Rafael Dias and Bao Quach, before suffering a unanimous decision loss to Michihiro Omigawa in his most-recent fight at Sengoku 7 in March.
Vazquez (13-2) is currently riding a four-fight win streak that dates back to 2003 and includes a late-2003 victory over UFC veteran Rob Emerson, a 2007 ShoXC win against JC Pennington, and his most-recent win in June over Mark Kergosien.
