If you watch this Sunday’s AFC Championship game between the Patriots and the Colts, then be on the look out for Jon Jones…Yes, according to a new report, the UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion plans to attend the game in Massachusetts, which will feature his brother Arthur playing for the Colts, and his other sibling Chandler, playing for the Patriots.

The news is being reported by WBNG in Binghamton, who recently interviewed Jones’ mother, Camille. As you almost certainly know, this is headline grabbing news, since Jones checked himself into a rehab facility just last week. According to the aforementioned report, however, Jones stay at the treatment facility was for one night. The fighter’s mother told WBNG, however, that Jones is continuing to learn more about the “subject”.

Jones worked his way to a decision win over Daniel Cormier at UFC 182 on January 3rd, but not long after the event, it was announced “Bones” had tested positive for cocaine metabolites earlier in December. Camille Jones was asked to weigh-in on what’s transpired with her son in the last few weeks, and here is some of what she had to say:

“I’m glad that this happened to Jon, this stopped him in his tracks, this let him know that he may need to change some friends, you know, because everyone is not for you for the best,” said Camille Jones. “So this is a good thing as far as our family is concerned, so we wasn’t upset. Me and my husband considered it a blessing from God that our child was able to be helped and know that he need to stop and know that he needed the assistance to stop before it came to something worse.”

The champ’s mother also noted that Jones’ did not having anything in his “system” for the Cormier bout, and that he’s still a “good athlete”.

So, there you have it. One would think that based off this news, chances are Jones is not going to be sidelined for much of 2015, as some had speculated. Alexander Gustafsson is set to fight Anthony Johnson on January  24th, and the winner of that bout is expected to fight Jones next.

Gustafsson-Johnson will headline UFC on FOX 14 and will go down in Stockholm, Sweden.
