Cat Zingano

At UFC 184, Cat Zingano will finally get her chance to end the reign of bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey.

If you recall, Zingano was supposed to battle the star back in 2013, after she stopped Miesha Tate in a memorable bout that April. ┬áThe plan was for Zingano to coach opposite of Rousey on TUF, and then the two would fight to close out the year. Not long after the win, however, Zingano went down with a serious knee injury, and she didn’t return to the Octagon until last September.

“Alpha” ended up stopping Amanda Nunes at UFC 178, and as a result, she’s been booked to face “Rowdy” on February 28th.

In advance of the title fight, the UFC has posted Zingano’s victory over Tate, which you can watch below. Tate ended up replacing Zingano on TUF and fought Rousey once again in December, 2013, but lost via a third round, armbar.

UFC 184 will go down at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
