UFC FN 60: Watch Benson Henderson’s Finest Moments in “Action and Reaction”

Kelsey Mowatt

Benson Henderson

Benson Henderson has taken some flack over the years for not finishing enough fights, but none of that changes the fact that “Smooth” is a ridiculously athletic and well rounded fighter.

Case in point, the former UFC lightweight champ holds wins over Donald Cerrone, Frankie Edgar, Nate Diaz, Jim Miller, Josh Thomson, Gilbert Melendez, and Rustam Khabilov among others.

If you think all that happened because Henderson got lucky, or because of bad judging, well, you need to watch some more MMA.

In advance of Henderson’s upcoming, February 14th bout with Brandon Thatch, the promotion has released an interesting clip called “Action and Reaction.” The segment is essentially a highlight reel for Henderson, and when you watch it, you get a clear demonstration of why he was ranked in the top 15, pound-for-pound rankings at one point. The 31 year-old vet is currently ranked #5 in the UFC’s lightweight division.

In Thatch, Henderson has agreed to take on a punishing striker who has won 11 straight bouts. He’s also stepping up a weight class. So, if Henderson goes out and scores a win at UFC FN 60, it will interesting to see if he elects to stay at 170, or return to 155.

UFC FN 60 will be hosted by the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado.
