Vitor Belfort won’t be the only one fighting at UFC 187 who’s been randomly drug tested, as middleweight champ Chris Weidman has also received a visit from the Nevada Athletic Commission…at 6:50 AM.

Belfort and Weidman are scheduled to fight on May 23rd, and recently the latter reported the following event via Facebook:

Just got a ring on my door bell at 6:50 am.. Ended up being the Nevada state athletic commission. Now..I have 2 kids and a pregnant wife so usually I would be pissed someone showing up like that but this is worth the inconvenience. They took blood and urine. First time being tested like that since I got in the sport. Really excited that they are starting to test fighters like this. Hope this really cleans up the sport!! ‪#‎cleanathlete‬

It’s nice to see that Weidman is supporting the NSAC’s actions. All this comes not long after Belfort argued that it isn’t “fair” he’s been tested “seven times” leading up to UFC 187, while at the time, the NSAC hadn’t called on the champ.

UFC 187 will go down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, and in the main event, light-heavyweight champ Jon Jones will take on Anthony Johnson.
