UFC 189 World Tour Stops in Dublin: Watch McGregor Grab Aldo’s Belt, Fans Give Champ Rude Welcoming

Conor McGregor

Everyone knew that today’s World Championship Tour event in Dublin was going to be crazy, and it certainly turned out to be just that. After all, Conor McGregor is kind of a big deal over there, in case you didn’t know…

Yes, if you want to watch fans verbally trash Jose Aldo repeatedly, then be sure to watch the press conference video below. If you’re a big Aldo fan, you might want to pass, or run the risk of smashing your computer in a fit of anger.

Aldo may be the consensus greatest featherweight of all time and one of the planet’s best pound-for-pound fighters, but that certainly didn’t stop the partisan crowd from slamming the UFC champ…repeatedly. Even some young kids got into the action.

Early on in the event, McGregor quickly grabbed Aldo’s belt from the table, and UFC boss man Dana White, as well as several others, had to rush in and diffuse the situation.

All of this is in advance of Aldo and McGregor’s upcoming bout, which will go down on July 11th at UFC 189. Aldo will be competing for the first time since last October, when he decisioned Chad Mendes, and McGregor hasn’t fought since January when he stopped Dennis Siver.

UFC 189 will also feature welterweight champ Robbie Lawler taking on Rory MacDonald (who, yes, have been spotted once or twice during the World Tour “Embedded” series)
