UFC FN 63: Chad Mendes Quickly Puts Away Ricardo Lamas

Chad Mendes

Chad Mendes demonstrated at UFC Fight Night 63 that his title shot run remains very much alive, as the featherweight stopped fellow contender Ricardo Lamas in the opening round.

Early on, Lamas threatened Mendes with several hard kicks, but the Team Alpha Male fighter remained composed and kept pursuing his opponent. Eventually, Mendes floored Lamas with a booming right hand, and although the latter managed to get back up, it was the beginning of the end. After Mendes put Lamas on the floor once more, he finished the fight off with several punches from above.

Here are the results for UFC FN 63, which went down at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
