Rockhold tapped out the highly regarded, Lyoto Machida in the card’s main event, and proceeded to say he wants to face Weidman in Madison Square Garden (provided the champion beats Vitor Belfort at UFC 187).
Souza, on the other hand, stormed through Chris Camozzi, and put the middleweight away with a first round, armbar. Well, after the win, here is some of what “Jacare” had to say about what he wants next (quote via UFC Press):
“I want to get the shot at the title next. Luke already lost to Vitor and Lyoto had his chance. Nothing would change if they get the next shot at the title. It’s my time. I’m coming off five victories. Jacare should have the next shot.”
Souza, who was originally scheduled to fight Yoel Romero until the latter recently withdrew due to injury, is currently ranked #1.
