Yet another bout has been confirmed for the rapidly-booked card for UFC Fight Night 20 on January 11 in Fairfax, Virginia, as welterweights Jesse Lennox and Rick Story have verbally agreed to meet at the Spike TV-televised event, according to MMAjunkie.
Story (8-3) evened his UFC record at 1-1 with a second-round submission of Brian Foster in September at UFC 103 that earned his “Fight of the Night” and “Submission of the Night” honors. “The Horror” had a six-fight win streak snapped in June with a decision loss to John Hathaway in his UFC debut.
Lennox (11-1) signed with the WEC early this year, debuting for the UFC’s sister promotion in January with a second-round knockout of Blas Avena before making his Octagon debut in August with a third-round stoppage of Danillo Villefort due to cuts at UFC 101.
The bout joins Josh Koscheck vs. Mike Pierce, Efrain Escudero vs. Nik Lentz, Tom Lawlor vs. Aaron Simpson, Mike Guymon vs. Rory MacDonald, and Chris Leben vs. Jay Silva on the rumored UFC Fight Night 20 card.
