Goran Reljic will make his UFC middleweight debut when he returns from back surgery to take on The Ultimate Fighter 7 runner-up CB Dollaway at UFC 110 on February 21 in Sydney, Australia, according to MMA Madness, which reported on Saturday that the matchup has been signed.
Reljic (8-0) made his Octagon debut last May at light heavyweight with a second-round TKO of Wilson Gouveia in the “Fight of the Night” at UFC 84. The Croatian had been slated to drop to 185-pounds against Thales Leites last October but suffered a back injury that forced him to withdraw from the fight, then underwent surgery before returning to training in May.
A favortie to win TUF 7, Dollaway (9-2), an All-American wrestler at Arizona State, lost to newcomer Amir Sadollah in the TUF 7 finals, but bounced back with wins over Jesse Taylor and Mike Massenzio. After suffering a quick submission loss to Tom Lawlor in July, Dollaway rebounded with a unanimous decision win against Jay Silva in September.
UFC 110 is expected to be headlined by heavyweight contenders Antonio Rodrigo Nogueria and Cain Velasquez, and is also likely to feature Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping and Ryan Bader vs. Keith Jardine.
