“To be honest with you, I think it’s a rumor and it’s BS that he’s gonna come back to the UFC first of all.”
Hopefully Arlovski’s wrong about this, as pretty much every fan would love to see Fedor throw down in the Octagon. At least once.
While a ton of people are excited about Emelianenko’s comeback, there are a lot of critics who say it’s a bad idea. The argument being that the 38 year-old Emelianenko is past his prime, and that his best days were over when he went 1-3 with Strikeforce.
“Of course I would love for him to get in the UFC and fight him again to have a rematch. But if you’re asking about if he’s kind of old or not, I don’t think so. Because I think a heavyweight’s prime time is like 36 to like 40 I think. It’s my opinion, I think it’s the best prime time for the fighter…”
It’s going to be absolutely fascinating to see what goes down with Fedor in the coming months. No question.
Arlovski and Emelianenko fought before in 2009, and the latter won the bout via first round, KO.
