Houston AlexanderLight heavyweight striker Houston Alexander has been released by the UFC following his loss to Kimbo Slice at Saturday’s The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale, UFC President Dana White confirmed on Thursday.

Alexander (9-5) began his UFC career in 2007 with back-to-back first-round knockouts of Keith Jardine and Alessio Sakara, but next dropped three-straight to Thiago Silva, James Irvin, and Eric Schafer. After picking up a win over Sherman Pendergarst outside the UFC in September, Alexander dropped a unanimous decision to Slice and was ultimately released after losing his fourth-straight inside the Octagon.
