The hype train tied to Sage Northcutt won’t have too much time to slow down, as the lightweight’s been booked for his next scrap, after his memorable Octagon debut at UFC 192.
The highly touted prospects took on Francisco Rivera on October 3rd, and finished the latter with strikes in 57 seconds. On Monday, the UFC confirmed that Northcutt will take on Cody Pfister next, and that the bout will be part of UFC FN 80.
The card will take place on December 10th at the Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.
Pfister (12-4-1), on the other hand, has gone 1-1 to date in the UFC. In his Octagon debut this past February, he was submitted by James Moontasri, but Pfister got back on track this past July by decisioning Yosdenis Cedeno.
UFC FN 80 will be headlined by a fight between strawweights Paige VanZant and Joanne Calderwood.
