Former light heavyweight champions Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz, opposing coaches on the upcoming The Ultimate Fighter 11, could square off for the third time at UFC 115 on June 12 in Vancouver, Canada, according to News 1130.
Liddell has won both previous meetings with Ortiz, scoring a second-round knockout in April 2004 and a third-round TKO in December 2006.
Liddell (21-7) won seven-straight between 2004 and 2006, ending with his most-recent victory over Ortiz, but “The Iceman” has been out of action since an April 2009 loss to Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, his fourth defeat in his last five fights.
Ortiz (15-7-1) returned to the Octagon for the first time in 18-months in November, suffering a split decision loss to Forrest Griffin. “The Hungtington Beach Bad Boy” has failed to win since an October 2006 victory over Frank Shamrock, fighting Rashad Evans to a draw while dropping bouts to Liddell, Lyoto Machida, and Griffin.
