Light heavyweights Rodney Wallace and Jared Hamman will be seeking their first UFC victories when they square off on the preliminary card of UFC 111 on March 27 in Newark, New Jersey. MMA for Real first reported the matchup on Sunday.
Wallace (9-1), a North Carolina native who was expected to fight on the March 31 UFC Fight Night event, lost his UFC debut to former WEC champ Brian Stann in December, his first career loss which snapped a nine-fight win streak.
Hamman (10-2) debuted in the UFC in November, suffering a 41-second knockout to Alexander Gustafsson, his second loss in his last three fights.
UFC 111 is headlined by welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre vs. Dan Hardy and also features an interim heavyweight championship bout between Frank Mir and Shane Carwin.
