TUF 22 Finale: Frankie Edgar Puts Away Chad Mendes in Short Order

Frankie Edgar will be monitoring tomorrow’s Jose Aldo – Conor McGregor bout even more intently, as he put away Chad Mendes tonight at the TUF 22 Finale.

Edgar sent Mendes to the deck in the opening round with a booming right and left, and referee “Big” John McCarthy stopped the fight. Edgar has won five straight fights and has certainly locked up another crack at the 145 title.
