Yes, the promotion has confirmed that Silva and Bisping will battle in the headliner of UFC Fight Night 83, which will go down on February 27th in London.
Now if you’re thinking, ‘wasn’t Bisping supposed to fight Gegard Mousasi?’. Yes, yes he was. The UFC has not made any announcement yet, however, as to what’s in store for the latter.
Silva (33-6) will be fighting for the first time in over a year, as a result of a positive test for PEDs and one year suspension he was handed, after facing Nick Diaz in January.
Bisping (27-7) most recently earned a split decision win over Thales Leites in July.
So, that’s an intriguing bout. There’s been talk of Silva fighting Bisping for a while, but more recently, it looked like the UFC might move forward with Silva – Vitort Belfort II.
UFC FN 83 will be broadcast in the U.S. via Fight Pass.
