Michael Bisping may be on the outside of the UFC’s middleweight top five ranks looking in, but the longtime contender is campaigning hard for a rematch with Luke Rockhold…Yes, even though Bisping’s booked to fight Anderson Silva on February 27th.
Following Rockhold’s championship win over Chris Weidman last month, Bisping said he has “unfinished business” with the new champ. The British fighter cited a headbutt he received early on in his submission loss to Rockhold as why.
Well, recently the British star also told MMA Mania the following:
“…There were mitigating circumstances in that fight, he headbutted me in the first round and then blood was getting in my eye. It was a real pain in the ass. There’s not many people in the middleweight division that can sell a fight quite like I can. Let’s be honest, they’re f–king boring. Give me a rematch with Luke Rockhold and I will sell the shit out of it. The PPV will be big. From a business standpoint it makes a lot of sense, but first I’ve got to get past Anderson.”
Could it happen? Guess we’ll see. Bisping and Silva will meet in the headliner of UFC FN 83, which will take place in London, England.
