Paul Taylor Drops to Lightweight, Fights John Gunderson at UFC 112

Former welterweight Paul Taylor will make his lightweight debut against John Gunderson on the preliminary card of UFC 112 on April 10 in Abu Dhabi, according to MMAjunkie.

Taylor (10-5-1) has gone 3-4 since debuting with the UFC in April 2007, earning wins over Edilberto de Oliveira, Jess Liaudin, and Peter Sobotta, while dropping bouts to Marcus Davis, Paul Kelly, Chris Lytle, and John Hathaway in his most-recent fight in November.

Gunderson (22-7), an IFL veteran, made his UFC debut on short notice in January at UFC 108, snapping his three-fight win streak with a unanimous decision loss to Rafaello Oliveira.

UFC 112 is the UFC’s first outdoors event and airs live on pay-per-view featuring middleweight champion Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort, lightweight title-holder BJ Penn vs. Frankie Edgar, and Matt Hughes vs. Renzo Gracie.
