Just when all the controversy tied to Bellator 149 had simmered somewhat, reports have surfaced today that both Ken Shamrock and Kimbo Slice failed their drug tests for the card.

According to reports from MMA Junkie and MMA Fighting, Texas officials are reporting that Shamrock and Slice have allegedly tested positive for banned substances. The commission, however, has not disclosed what substances.

Slice and Shamrock fought in the February 19th card’s headliners, which went down in Houston, Texas.

Shamrock took on fellow legend Royce Gracie, and was stopped in the opening round, after appearing to take a blow to the groin.

Slice, on the other hand, battled DADA 5000 and stopped him in round three. The fight sparked widespread outcry, as both men were exhausted shortly into the fight. Further, DADA 5000 was hospitalized after the bout, fuelling debate as to whether the fight should have been booked in the first place.
