Matt Mitrione has his first fight for Bellator booked, as the promotion has announced that the heavyweight will face Carl Seumanutafa on June 24th. The fight will be part of Bellator’s second “Dynamite” card, which will go down at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
Mitrione (9-5) is coming off a controversial, stoppage loss to Travis Browne at UFC Fight Night 81 in January. Mitrione entered free agency after the bout, and ultimately elected to go with Bellator. The TUF vet is 3-2 in his last 5 bouts.
Seumanutafa (10-6) took out Javy Ayala at Bellator 148 in January. The heavyweight is also 3-2 in his last 5 contests.
So there you go. That’s a nice addition to Dynamite 2, which will feature “Rampage” Jackson taking on Satoshi Ishii in the headliner.
