Paulo Filho Back In Against Yuki Sasaki at Bitetti Combat 6 (updated)

UPDATE: Tatame reports that Paulo Filho is back on the Bitetti Combat 6 card, and will fight Yuki Sasaki as originally scheduled.

Former UFC middleweight title challenger Thales Leites has been tapped to replace fellow Brazilian Paulo Filho against Yuki Sasaki at Beitetti Combat 6 on February 25 in Brasilia, Brazil. According to Tatame Filho has been forced from the contest by his ongoing personal problems.

Leites was last in action earning a unanimous decision over Dean Lister at MFC: 23 in December. Prior to the bout with Lister, Leites lost two consecutive decisions in the UFC, with lackluster performances, forcing the promotion to cut him from their roster.

Sasaki has amassed a record of 22-16-1 over the course of his career, and is currently on a two fight losing streak. His last two bouts were decision losses against Kazuhiro Nakamura and Sean Salmon, respectively. Sasaki’s last win came against Yuki Kondo at Sengoku 5 in September 2008.
