Mark Munoz, Kendall Grove, Rafael dos Anjos, and DaMarques Johnson each earned $75,000 ‘fight night’ bonuses on Saturday for their performances at “UFC 112: Invincible,” the UFC’s first-ever outdoor event which aired live on pay-per-view from Abu Dhabi.
Munoz and Grove earned “Fight of the Night” honors for their entertaining middleweight brawl that kicked off the UFC 112 main card, with Munoz surviving a big uppercut and several near-submissions in the first before scoring a late second-round TKO.
“Submission of the Night” went to the Brazilian Jiu-Jistsu black belt dos Anjos, who snapped fellow lightweight Terry Etim’s four-fight win streak by forcing him to tap to an armbar in the second round on the UFC 112 main card.
Johnson bouced back from a subpar start to win “Knockout of the Night” for his third-round TKO of Brad Blackburn.
UFC President Dana White announced at the post-fight press conference that UFC 112 drew a sellout crowd of 11,008 for a $3.5 million live gate.
