After Kelvin Gastelum stopped Tim Kennedy at UFC 206 last weekend, he said he’d be interested in fighting Vitor Belfort, and obviously the UFC brass was listening.
Gastelum finished the middleweight contender in the third round on Saturday. Despite the impressive performance, Gastelum relayed that he still intends to return to the welterweight division, but that he was up for a fight with Belfort in the interim.
Well, on Wednesday the UFC announced that Belfort – Gastelum will headline UFC Fight Night 107, which will take place on March 11th in Fortaleza, Brazil.
The fight will mark the first time Belfort has fought since he was stopped by Gegard Mousasi in October. Currently the legendary fighter is ranked #8 in the 185 division.
