UFC 207: Miesha Tate Outlines Why She’s Picking Amanda Nunes to Beat Ronda Rousey

Ronda Rousey will make her long awaited return on Friday night at UFC 207, but her rival Miesha Tate believes the comeback won’t be a triumphant one.

Rousey will take on Amanda Nunes in the headliner, who finished Tate in the opening round this past July, to become the bantamweight champ. As you likely know, Tate also faced Rousey two times during her career, and lost both bouts via submission.

Well, Tate recently appeared on the latest “UFC Tonight“, and she was asked to weigh-in on Nunes – Rousey. Here is some of what “Cupcake” had to say (quotes via FOX Sports press release):

“She has to throw combos against Ronda to keep her on the outside and keep those punches in bunches,” said Tate, while discussing Nunes’ keys to victory.

“I fought both of them. I’ve never been hit so hard in my career as I was by Nunes. It just takes one right hand to rattle anyone. I’m going with Amanda.”

Tate isn’t the only person to voice this opinion, and more than a few folks have questioned whether Rousey has truly recovered mentally from her KO loss to Holly Holm last year.

It’s also worth noting, however, that “UFC Tonight” analyst Kenny Florian is picking Rousey to win Friday. Florian believes Rousey’s cardio and experience in big fights, will deliver her a victory and the 135 title once again. Daniel Cormier is also going with Rousey, and believes she’ll score a submission.

It’s going to be a fascinating night. UFC 207 will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
