Bellator 15 Results: Hornbuckle Submits Stinson, Thomas Stops McClintock

Dan HornbuckleWelterweight Dan Hornbuckle cruised into the semifinals of Bellator’s 170-pound tournament on Thursday, scoring a first-round triangle choke submission of Tyler Stinson at Bellator 15 in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Fellow welterweight Ryan Thomas made the most of his second chance following a controversial loss to Ben Askren last week, as he upset Jacob McClintock with an opening round TKO to move on the 170-pound semis, where a rematch with Askren likely awaits.

In other Bellator 15 action, Steve Carl advanced to the welterweight semis with a split decision win over Brett Cooper, while featherweight Patricio “Pitbull” Freire submitted William Romer with a first-round heel hook to move on to the 145-pound semifinals.
